Cracks in the Dawn

Made with Gimp 2.8, laptop and trackpad, for a graphics contest on Howrse.
So, I was going to have the horse staring at a bird or something, and planned on a butterfly, then I finally checked the 'dislikes' list in the contest briefing, and right there, said 'butterfly'. Right in the dislikes list.
So because I'm lazy, I just cut the butterfly and gave up on anything else.
The mane and tail were annoying, mainly because I suck at them, but other than that, at least it looks somewhat okay.
